This will be my third time trying to read Clockwork Angel. For some reason I can’t get past a certain point. I always end up putting it down. Fingers crossed I can finish it this times around though because I REALLY want to read all of the Shadowhunter Chronicles.
This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2020! The synopsis sounded right up my alley and I really though I was going to love this, but it was just an okay read for me. The overall message was fantastic but I feel like the book was trying to tackle way too much. Between work, family issues, college planning, friendships and romance, you never really knew what the main focus was supposed to be.
The Midnight Sun announcement really brought back all the nostalgia for me! I can’t be the only one who is planning to reread all the books and rewatch the movies. I am way to excited to revisit this story.
I would like to thank the book gods for gracing me with this ARC! 😂 For real though, I am over the moon to have an early copy of my most anticipated book of the year. I literally just started this last night so I don’t have much to say except Shea Ernshaw’s writing is beyond beautiful.
Life has been a little chaotic lately so I haven’t had much time to physically read anything so I decided to pick up an audiobook. I am really enjoying Always Never Yours! I am so into the theater aspect of the story. It’s definitely a lot of fun! I have about 2 hours left in the audio so I should be able to finish it today. Fingers crossed!
This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year & somehow I was able to snag me an ARC! This book was SO GOOD! It was so unique & creepy. My full review is scheduled for early September so look out for that!
Today Is WWW Wednesday! This is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. It’s pretty simple, all you have to do is answer the three questions!
I feel like my reading has been a disaster over the past week. After finishing my first book of July, I couldn’t find anything I wanted to read next. In a 24 hour span I started but then put down 3 books. I don’t know what is up with me. I feel like this has happened quite a lot this year.
As always, if you’d like to know more about any of these books, I have linked all of their Goodreads pages!
Last month I was approved for my first ever e-ARC on Netgalley! I got a little excited & had to start reading it ASAP! She’s the Worst was such a fun book about a sibling relationship. My full review will be up sometime in August. Release date is September 3.
I actually had no intention of picking this up this month. I noticed that my library added the audiobook so I snatched it up real quick. So far I am really enjoying it. I am LOVING the convention setting. My geeky heart is happy.
After I was disappointed by a very hyped book, I needed to read something cute & fun. I ended up giving this 3 stars. While it was what I needed, I expected it to be a little more steamy than it was. The sex scenes were fade to black which annoyed me.
I have actually already started this book, but decided to put it down for a few days. It’s summer break & with me being a nanny that means complete chaos Monday-Friday. I read chapter one while I was at work and could not focus on it at all. I’m going to pick it back up when I have some peace and quiet this weekend!
Well this wasn’t on my April TBR but I just felt the urge to pick it up. This is my first time reading anything by Brandon Sanderson & as of right now, it won’t be my last. I am loving Skyward. It’s fun & fast paced which I definitely needed right now.
Last week was a bit of a mess when it came to my reading. I started but then quickly put down three books. None of them really caught or held my attention. I had no idea what to pick up so I decided to just reread a favorite. The Kiss Quotient was already on my TBR, but not until later this month. I’m so happy I bumped it up though. This book is so sweet & steamy! I loved seeing these characters again.
Today I’m going to do my first WWW Wednesday! This is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. It’s pretty simple, all you have to do is answer the three questions!
Since I’m participating in contemporary-a-thon this week, I figured it was the perfect time to do this tag!
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner. I’m only 75 pages in and it’s already way darker than I thought it would be.
The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. I can totally see why people love this book. It’s adorable, but it will break your heart a little.
Once I finish my current read I’m going to pick up Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World by Ashley Herring Blake. Last year I read Girl Made of Stars by this author and I absolutely loved it. I have high hopes for Ivy Aberdeen!
Feel fee to answer these questions in the comments. I’d love to know what you all are reading!
