Contemporary-A-Thon TBR

Hi everyone!

Today I am going to share my Contemporary-a-thon TBR with you all! This readathon runs from Sept. 23rd through Sept. 29th & it is hosted by Chelsea from chelseadollingreads, Julie from Pages and Pens, Natasha from myreadingisodd and Melanie from meltotheany! I highly recommend you go subscribe to their Booktube channels. They are all wonderful!

For this round my TBR is going to be pretty small. With the way my reading has been lately, I know I won’t be able to get through more than three books in a week.

I’ve chosen a few books that I am literally SO excited for and I’m hoping that helps me stay on track next week!

The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reid

-Read a diverse contemporary
-Read a dark/hard hitting contemporary
-Read a contemporary with plants on the cover
-Read a contemporary with yellow on the cover

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary

-Read a 2019 release
-Read a contemporary with an illustrated cover
-Read a contemporary that is beloved by a member of the book community (I’m actually going to shout two people who love this book! Chelsea from chelseadollingreads & Heather from Bookables!)

So, IF I manage to read both of those books, then I will pick up The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord. I’m not quite sure which challenges this will meet though. I have to read this book regardless so why not throw it into Contemporary-a-thon!

And there you have it! My itty bitty TBR. This is without about my favorite readathon and I cant wait to tart reading on Monday!

Are you participating in the Contemporary-a-thon? If so, what is on your to be read pile??

The Reading Rush TBR | 2019

I am SO excited to be doing The Reading Rush this year! It’s a readathon that I have always wanted to participate in but never felt like I could because I didn’t have a Booktube channel. I am over the moon happy that the hosts decided to make it more inclusive this year!

If you aren’t aware, The Reading Rush is previously known as Booktubeathon. Go check out their channel for more info!

There are seven challenges and I do plan to complete them all, but I am going to double and triple them up. Here we go!

Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno

-Read a book in the same spot the entire time
-Read a book you meant to read last year

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

-Read and watch a book to movie adaptation
-Read a book that has five or more words in the title

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody

-Read a book with purple on the cover
-Read an authors first book
-Read a book with a non-human main character (I am really hoping this book counts)

I know there is an unofficial challenge to read 7 books, but there’s no way that is going to happen for me. I’ll be good if I can get through the three I picked!

If you want to know how my reading is going next week then you should definitely go follow my Instagram & Twitter! I’m planning to do some updates on there! I also have a Reading Rush account (thelibrarylane) so feel free to send me a friend request!

Are you participating in The Reading Rush? If so, leave a link to your TBR in the comments! I’d love to see what your planning to read.
