5 Star Predictions

For one reason or another, these books are ones that I think I will give 5 stars to!

Once I have read them all, I’ll come back and give you all an update! Fingers crossed that I am right!

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
Incase you’ve been living under a rock, this is SJM’s first book in a new adult fantasy series. Honestly I can’t believe this is making the list . I have only read one other book by this author and I didn’t necessarily love it. I think the premise of this book is more up my alley than the other book. I read a sampler of House of Earth and Blood and it was so good! I was a bit confused, but the way the sampler ended…I can’t wait to read more!

Dry by Neal & Jarrod Shusterman
This is a YA dystopian about a catastrophic drought. I don’t really have any specific reasons as to why I think this will be 5 stars. The synopsis just sounds like something I will enjoy!

Storm by Brigid Kemmerer
I seriously can’t wait for this one. This is the first book in The Elemental Series and it’s also Brigid Kemmerer’s debut novel! I absolutely LOVE her writing and I always get lost in her books. I can only assume that the same will happen for Storm.

The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh
Okay so I know a lot of people were disappointed in this book. The way it was pitched and the actual story didn’t exactly match up. But y’all, I have a really good feeling that I am going to love The Beautiful! I know very little about it but every time I see it on my shelf I get so excited to read it! Is that enough to think it’ll be 5 stars? I guess so!

A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
This is the second book in An Ember in the Ashes series. I read the first book 2 YEARS AGO and haven’t picked up this one yet! I definitely need to reread Ember but I remember absolutely falling in love with it. I can’t imagine not loving this one too!

Did you give any of these books 5 stars??

  1. I hope we both love House of Earth and Blood! And I’m with you… hoping to really love The Beautiful despite the reviews. I could easily see A Torch being 5 stars!
