A Pretty Late January Wrap Up

Hi everyone!

Even though it’s super late, they are back! I am so happy to be doing monthly wrap ups again. I stopped posting them last year because it was so overwhelming to me. Mostly because I waited until the very last minute to write them out. I am not going to do that anymore though. This year I am going to write out my thoughts after I finish each book. This way all of my opinions are fresh in my mind. I really hope this works out better for me.

All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace
Rating: ★★★★★
I loved everything about this. The world, magic and characters were inedible. If this isn’t on your radar yet, please check it out. I know it is only February but I can definitely see this gorgeous story making my favorites list of 2020. Read my full review here.

Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire
Rating: ★★★★
The fifth book in the Wayward Children series. I loved that we got to see characters that we haven’t heard from in a while. I always enjoy learning more about Jack and Jill and their world. I am so excited for the next book in this beautifully strange series.

Lucky Caller by Emma Mllls
Rating: ★★★★
This was a classic Emma Mills book. It had wonderful friendships and a super sweet romance. Check out my full review here.

Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Rating: ★★★★.5
At this point, I am convinced that Taylor Jenkins Reid is a pure genius. I have loved everything I’ve read by her. I thought the concept of this book was so interesting. Both paths came with it’s ups and downs so it was impossible to choose which was better. This book made me decide to read all of TJR backlist this year!

The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
Rating: ★★★★
I went into this book knowing that I should expect the unexpected, but wow. I really enjoyed this story. It reminded me a lot of the Illuminae Files which I loved. It was wild, creepy and suspenseful.

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
Rating: ★★★★
Really enjoyed this! It was a fun & quick read. I loved Josh & Hazel so much. Their chemistry was 10/10. The only reason I couldn’t give this a full 5 stars was because of the ending. It took a turn and I thought it was kind of unnecessary. Other than that, the story was great. I will definitely read more from Christina Lauren in the future.

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
Rating: ★★★
I originally gave this 4 stars, but looking back I have to drop it to a 3. I enjoyed Tweet Cute but it was just an okay read for me. Definitely fun & quirky.

Havenfall by Sara Holland
Rating: ★★★★
I had such a great time reading this book. It was just so enjoyable. I was deeply invested in the plot, characters and worlds that I never wanted it to end. Check out my full review here.

  1. Again, you have me so hype for All the Stars & Teeth! I recently picked up Lucky Caller, so I’m excited to give it a try! YAY I’m so glad you liked Maybe in Another Life! I hope you keep reading her backlist! Keep me posted on that. The Loneliest Girl in the Universe is one that I own and still haven’t read. I’m very interested in it though. I’m glad you enjoyed Josh & Hazel’s! I’m in a minority that really loved the ending, lol. You had an excellent reading month!
