Books to Reread

Before I start my rambling…

Make sure you are following my bookstagram! I have something very exciting happening this Wednesday! You don’t want to miss it.

So last week I shared my goals for 2019. Turns out, I completely forgot about the one that’s at the top of my list.

More rereads!

There are six books that I really want to revisit this year.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
When I first read this book it was everything to me. I related so much to Cath, there was a fandom storyline, and the romance was totally swoon worthy! It was perfection to me. It’s been a few years since then, so it’s time reread my old favorite!

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
So I was terrible at required reading in high school. I either didn’t read it or didn’t like it. It was really rough, until this book came along. I don’t really know why or how, but I fell in love with it. It sucked me in from the very beginning. I’ve read it twice, but this year I want to listen to the audiobook. There is one narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal, so uhhh yes please.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
This one is kind of cheating. I actually just reread this duology at the end of last year. After I finished them though, I decided that I want to read them every year. It is one of my all time favorites. ALSO, Shadow and Bone & Six of Crows are being made into a Netflix show! I have no idea when that is coming out, but I do want to reread the Grisha Trilogy before then as well.

The Raging Ones by Krista & Becca Ritchie
Remember the other day when I said I annotated an ARC? Yeah, that was the one. I absolutely loved this book. It was so different than anything I have ever read. The connection that the three main characters had was so weird but it also just worked. I don’t know how to explain it without any spoilers. I plan to listen to the audiobook for this before the sequel comes out in August.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
This book…. holy cow. It was the perfect amount of cute and steamy. I simply just want to reread it. Plus, this is getting a companion novel of sorts. The Bride Test comes out in May, and it follows a character who makes an appearance in this book.

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
As soon as I finished this book, I wanted to go back to page one and start it again. Yes, this book has its problems, but I still loved it. It was spooky and suspenseful. I want to reread this every October!

What books do you want to reread this year?? Any of the ones I mentioned?

  1. Ohhh can’t wait to see what you’re doing on Insta! I have forgotten to take pictures for mine two weeks in a row now. 🙃 I definitely want to reread the Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows books before the Netflix series! And I DEFINITELY see myself returning to The Wicked Deep every once in a while! That’s being adapted too, I think? I’m interested in rereading The Princess Bride this year and maybe listening to the Daughter of a Pirate King books on audio!

    1. Something that really helps me with bookstagram is talking pictures in bulk. Like right now I have enough pictures to last until the 2nd week of February! I haven’t heard anything about The Wicked Deep adaptation in a long time, I hope it’s still happening. I have never read The Princess Bride, but I definitely need to!
